When did they say they have repealed AC21? Is this true?
Regarding (6) above, it is not 10K, more like 5K.
Only a part of AC21 is repealed; ppl can still move one year after their 140 is approved and 485 is pending.

Do NOT make any more calls to the Rule Committee Members (unless they are from your district).
Things are looking good, but we can't be sure until the final vote occurs. Your hard work is definitely paying off.
No amendments to strip the E-Verify language out of the stimulus bill were even filed, which is a huge victory for us. However, since things can change on the Hill at any moment, it is critical that you keep calling your own U.S. Representative to tell them you support the E-Verify language in the bill and hope your Rep. will help ensure that it remains in the bill.
The final vote on the stimulus bill should happen sometime late this afternoon or early this evening.
To be clear, there is currently no amendment to strip the E-Verify language.
Please go to your Action Buffet corkboard and click on the phone note. It will provide talking points to make it easier to make the phone call. And it names your Representative and provides alternative phone numbers to call.

I agree with file485. Blocking the channel is not the answer. Lets put our efforts in getting as many signatures as possible for the petition.

More than the economy, companies willingness to pay, agreement, etc I think it is very important for the applicant to understand the delays s/he "might" face while the GC process is ongoing. As we all know it can take as much as up to 10 years for the GC. During this processing time, some of us decide not to take risk and avoid things like expanding the family, buying a house, etc, etc (everyone has their own list).. Which is totally understandable but is GC worth putting your life on hold?
If the answer is no then go for it man and apply but if the answer is yes then you might want to reconsider the GC thing..
At the end of the day it is very important for the applicant to set their priorities and expectations right, as mid-way many of use get really frustrated..
But again, there is no good or bad time to file for GC if you know what you want then by all means go for it.
Disclaimer: I am not discouraging anyone from applying for the GC. Everyone should go for it as bigger the line bigger the pain, result bigger the gain for all of us :)

The date in my I94 was entered as being 6 months before the date of entry (he got the year wrong). I being jet lagged didn't spot it until after leaving the immigration hall.
To cut a long story short, in the end an immigration officer at the same port of entry just hand corrected it and wrote his badge number against the correction (no updates in the computer). I had begged for a new I94, but that wasn't going to happen.
In the end to avoid risk of any more delays with H1B renewal etc, I just took a trip to an airport in Canada and didn't even leave the airport. That got me a new I94 (for cost of $250 airfair). My bother was that a hand corrected I94 may look suspicious to someone and that slows down a future application, and what is the cost of more delays in applications?
So my advice is, ask an immigration officer at a convenient place for you to correct it. However, if you are going to use it on an application (like I140 or H1B renewal) then just leave and reenter. It depends on costs, a day off work to go to somewhere where they could issue a new I94 cost more than a cheap airfair to Canada for the day at a weekend. Also compare with the risk of a delay while they check on a hand corrected I94, if they ever bother. My attorny thought that I went over board, but he is not the one waiting and waiting!

DOL (Department of Labor) will give ur company a tracking/receipt number. ask ur company to check the status of the case using that number from DOL website.

My PD was Dec 4, 2004. EB2. Exactly 5 years from PD and over 10 years from first entry to US. Getting stuck in the BEC backlog and my wife getting stuck in India with 221(g) were among my most painful experiences through the journey. And not being able to take a fabulous offer at double my salary in 2007 hurt too.
Thanks for all the support. And congratulations again to the leaders of IV for creating a platform for Employment based GC applicants.

Wow, I feel you. I've been in such situation. How big your company is? Whose lawyer is taking care of your case - yours or employer's? Try to contact the lawyer directly. Do you know if any violation regarding working conditions your employer has? If they are on shaky ground, you can be more aggressive with them. You can have several ways of pushing them.
Maybe it's late for you now. But after my first employer's games, when I joined my second employer I demanded at the very beginning that I will have my lawyer and everything will go through him. Only when I got my H1b through my lawyer I joined them.
When I placed my "two weeks notice" my ex-boss was walking after me, begging not to leave. When I left, they threatened me with lawsuits. Never filed any after I mentioned him about hiring illegaly few guys and pointing on some other violations they had.

I think you missed the USCIS update. You can file till Aug 17th. So its the same amount of time one month from now.
I read some where that filing is allowed to Aug-17, but the new fees will effected on 01-Aug although July filers.
Correct me If I'm wrong.

Her H4 depends on my H1B validatity. Im said if i call AC21 using my EAD, then my H1B goes invalid and so her H4. Does this makes sense to you. Do you got other opinions ? If so let mw know. thanks.
EAD is not a status. It's just an authorization for employment. Since you have filed 485 you and your spouse are in adjustment and so I don't see how your using EAD to work invalidates her H4.
